We are currently recruiting for an experienced Office Manager/EA to join a fast-growing, exciting company based in central St Albans. They operate in modern open plan offices with free parking!
You will report into the Executive Assistant and are responsible for assisting with all aspects of the efficient running of the office environment including facilities, whilst providing back up administrative support for the Executives.

Key responsibilities of the Office Manager/EA:
- Implement and maintain office-related procedures to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain the highest standard of office maintenance by liaising with the landlord, contractors, and cleaners
- Plan and implement office systems, including office/desk moves, temporary office closures and reopenings, and structural or layout alterations
- Liaise with the Health and Safety Team to ensure adherence to office health and safety policies and fire regulations
- Assist with car fleet queries
- Conduct new starter induction tours, ensuring required documents are signed and returned
- Greet and assist visitors, offering hospitality services such as tea and coffee
- Set up rooms for meetings and order lunches
- Monitor stationery and kitchen provisions, coordinating orders to minimize downtime
- Organize the provision, maintenance, and operation of the Costa coffee machine
- Manage office car parking spaces, permits, and door entry fobs for starters
- Collaborate with the Executive Assistant to organise company events, conferences
- Manage office charity events
- Process expenses for the Senior Team
- Answer telephone calls promptly, directing and actioning them appropriately
- Monitor photocopiers and coordinate maintenance as needed
- Handle meeting room bookings, ensuring the rooms are clear and restocked
- Diary management – organise meetings both in person and virtually (internally and externally) and arrange meeting rooms, accordingly
- Collate board packs and other presentations
- Organise travel and transport itineraries, both personal and work related
- Varied ad-hoc tasks and projects to support the CEO, COO and CFO in the smooth running of their personal lives and run errands as requested
For this Office Manager/EA role, the employer is looking for:
- Previous experience in Office Management and EA roles
- Effective communication skills; verbal, electronic and written
- Good attention to detail
- Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office Programmes
- Excellent organisational skills with good time management
- Ability to develop positive working relationships with colleagues and external contacts
- Self-Starter with a ‘can do’ attitude
- Must have full drivers licence
