The International Ballet Academy is Bellevue's premier ballet and dance academy specializing in professional dance training. Our goal is give young artists opportunities to excel not only in the professional dance world but in whatever focus they choose to pursue. We strive to keep the traditions of dance and theater alive in a world that is more connected than it has ever been.
While professional dance training is our main focus, our Academy offers a wide range of dance programs for children and adults. The IBA curriculum gives young dancers an award-winning dance education in ballet, modern, contemporary, jazz, and character. Taught by a world-renowned faculty, students from our Academy go on to have illustrious careers among the world's greatest dance companies or attend the best universities available. It is our mission to see our community grow through the beauty of dance.
We are actively seeking an Office Manager for our Bellevue, WA school. The Office Manager will serve as the lead of our front desk, with 2 office assistants reporting to them.
Our ideal candidate has the following:
- An appreciation for the arts, ballet, and/or dance (Bonus if you have knowledge of Vaganova and Balanchine ballet styles, but not required)
- Background in either educational administration or arts administration a plus
- Office experience in a customer-facing role, or other applicable experience
- Computer competency, previous experience with Jackrabbit software a plus
- Conducts themselves in a professional demeanor
- Excellent communication skills
- Detail-oriented
- Self-motivated
Responsibilities include:
- Leading biweekly meetings with Artistic director and following up on open tasks
- Manage schedule for the front desk and studio.
- Monitor day-to-day business, including phones, email, proper supervision and delegation of opening and closing procedures, maintenance, and housekeeping.
- Oversee ordering of office supplies.
- Manage tech support, passwords, and website adjustments, including posting updated schedule, creation of new email addresses, maintenance of systems access, and handles onboarding of new clients to our internal systems.
- Maintain paper client files, digital client management system, and email lists
- Recruiting and managing volunteers for our productions
- Updating and maintaining client files, such as handbooks, welcome packets, and applications
- Track class attendance and makeup classes
- Customer service, direct point of contact with interested potential students and parents. After training, comfort answering questions about the company’s specific approach to dance.
- Supports potential conflict resolution in collaboration with Managing Director.
- Owns client communication of upcoming auditions and other relevant activities
- Follow up with potential students on enrollment after auditions and expressed interest.

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
