Grade & Scale point: 6, SCP 14-19
Salary: £25,409-£27,852 FTE, £15,876-£17,403 Actual, £13.17-£14.44/hr
Hours of work: 27.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term time only (190 days/year)
Start date: Monday 25 September 2023
Frederick Holmes School is a community special school catering for pupils with severe physical/learning disabilities and those with profound and multiple needs aged 2-19. It is a school where all children are valued and all staff work extremely hard to deliver an inspirational curriculum in a supportive and caring environment.
We are seeking an exceptional candidate to appoint as our Office Manager, where you will be responsible for providing a proactive, professional, high quality administrative and support service. You will be working as part of a friendly admin team and will need to be well organised and adaptable. You will be expected to be a team player and contribute to the development of the school’s administrative, financial and support services, with a focus on running the school office and dealing with finance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Ensure the smooth running of the school office on a day to day basis, managing complex admin procedures
- Take a lead role in planning, development, design, organisation and monitoring of support systems/procedures/policies
- Overseeing the sales ledger, purchase ledger, cash book and nominal ledger functions and ensuring all orders/payments are complying with Best Value policy
- Provide detailed analysis and evaluation of data/produce detailed reports/ information as required
- Line Management of administrative support staff, lunchtime staff & site staff
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- GCSE 5 A*-C or equivalent including Maths and English
- NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification or experience in relevant discipline
- Qualified First Aider, or a willingness to undergo training
- Ability to use initiative and plan/prioritise work
- Ability to use ICT skills to manage & analyse data
- Experience of budgetary control
