Office & Finance Administrator [OFA0623]
About the Role:
Are you looking to become part of a friendly, forward-thinking team? This is an exciting opportunity to join a unique department that deals with ownerless property in Scotland. This property includes land and buildings that belonged to now dissolved companies, estates of individuals who die with no traceable family or will, and treasure which is found in Scotland.
You will be working in a small team within the King’s and Lord Treasurer’s Remembrancer (KLTR) department with two main points of contact. You will also work collaboratively with colleagues in the wider KLTR department and across the service on a frequent basis, touching on a varied range of matters from ownerless property projects to more general office administration.
Your role will include offering support with and carrying out day to day processes regarding the department’s finances and accounting, and more general office administration and organisational responsibilities.
The team will be based in Edinburgh, and you will work between Victoria Quay and Crown Office on Chambers Street. You will have the opportunity to work from home, with office attendance expected on average 2 days per week or as and when required.
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to gain experience working with the KLTR team, wider Crown Office colleagues, and be involved in discussions and projects progressing and shaping the future work of the KLTR. You will have the opportunity to attend any appropriate training which is identified to further your abilities in your role, and aid your personal development in your career.
