Mosaic 1898 exists to ensure disabled adults and children living in the Leicestershire are treated equally and fairly in the society they call home. The charity works with and for disabled people to enhance lives and make a lasting positive difference.
We do this by breaking down barriers through personalised support and care services which promote inclusion, equality, independence, choice empowerment, respect, and dignity for all. We recognise and challenge the prejudice, discrimination and social isolation that disabled people face throughout their lives and work to deliver dynamic, creative, and accessible services for adults and children. This is a dynamic, hands-on position with a diverse remit that demands passion, experience, and a commitment to the delivery of high quality and innovative outcomes.
You will support the charity further its reach and make a bigger difference to the lives of disabled people and all those who support them by leading the charity’s day-to-day office administration and central functions. securing support for new and existing services, and establishing long-term plans for sustainable growth.
In this role you will report to the Chief Executive, providing support, challenge, insight, and solutions which move the charity, its people, and impact forwards. You will hold line management for the central administration team. You will undertake the following duties and key responsibilities:
Leadership: you will provide visible, accessible, and positive leadership, creating a supportive environment for all and delivering high levels of colleague engagement and impact.
Office Management: you will take responsibility of all office management, ensuring a safe working environment and that systems and processes are coordinated, accessible, and effective. This will extend to but is not limited to, reception, office administration, record management, health and safety, procurement, and premises.
Communications: you will take an active role in Mosaic 1898’s internal and external communications, and its digital presence. You will help create opportunities for the charity to raise its profile, increase its following, create an awareness of its cause, and promote its work and impact.
Staff Engagement: you will fashion and organise events which create space for staff to come together, socialise, celebrate, and build positive working relationships. You will administrate staff engagement surveys to help the charity better understand the experiences and opinions of the staff. This work will extend to exploring ways to support and care for the staff’s health and wellbeing.
Project and Service Support: you will be the called upon to support Mosaic 1898’s ongoing and upcoming projects, this in the main would be in their administration and organisation but could extend to getting hands-on and participating in the delivery. From time to time, you will look to support Mosaic 1898’s established services where there is a need or their preparation for peaks of activity.
Charity Compliance: you will play a part in supporting the charity remain ahead of its obligations with the Charity Commission and work within its articles of association. You will support the charity to continuously improve and be an advocate for positive change. You will from time to time provide insight, challenge, and support to the charity in delivering good governance and continuous improvement.
