Job description
General Description:
The Accountant and Office Administrator reports to the Director of Finance. It is a dynamic role with multiple deliverables. This role will be primarily working on the accounts payable and office administration portion of our business but will be trained and exposed to all administrative and accounting functions. We are looking for someone who likes to keep busy and work on many different things.
Responsibilities:
- Bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, deposits and other accounting-related tasks.
- Work with Project Coordinator for the issuance of purchase orders. Ensuring each purchase has a purchase order associated with it.
- Reconcile monthly vendor statements to ensure all invoices have been received and recorded in our system.
- Credit card reconciliations.
- Following up with vendors regarding insurance, WSIB/CCQ compliance documents.
- Managing and entering expense reports for staff.
- Look for ways to improve on current processes.
- Office Administration, ensuring that the overall experience of working at Roca Homes is pleasant at the office, orderly, and well supplied. Ensuring we have all operational supplies stocked. Social event planning and coordination.
Experience Required:
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Accounting/Bookkeeping experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and willingness to complete repetitive tasks.
- Knowledge of industry best practices
