The Role:
We are seeking to recruit an Office Administrator to join our friendly team at the Durham site, supporting the Depot Manager in delivering an efficient, legally compliant and safe transport service whilst maintaining high levels of customer service.
Responsibilities and Duties (not exhaustive):
- First point of telephone contact for our customers
- Working closely with our operations & customer services teams to help ensure the best possible customer experience.
- Updating/maintaining records as required.
- Responding to customer queries and requests.
- Compiling customer reports.
- Completion of general administrative duties.
- Support the senior management team with general administrative duties when required.
- Support the broker desk with calls and administrative tasks when required.
- Compliance with the requirements of the company Management System.
- Ensure working safely always remains the highest priority in the execution of your duties.
- Efficiently control accurate processing of paperwork and electronic data relating to the transport operation, using the systems provided.
- Assistance with any other duties required which ensures the smooth day to day running of the operation.
Experience, Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a customer facing role.
- Experience with Microsoft Word & Excel.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to meet deadlines.
- Works under own initiative
- Flexible, committed, and able to use your own initiative.
- Able to remain calm and focused in a fast-moving, ever-changing environment.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Able to build strong working relationships and work in a team.
