Job description
We are a small independent domiciliary care agency, we pride ourselves on person centred care. We provide care and support for clients in their own homes and in the community, we are based in Watford and cover all surrounding areas up to 10 miles (Live in support throughout the country).
Roles and Responsibilities;
- Management of designated rota for both Care workers and clients.
- Manage all elements of the care package ensuring any changes or issues are communicated with the relevant parties
- Take details of new client referrals and arrange for worker allocation, entry of details into IT system and prepare care notes for the care package in preparation for the package commencement
- Carry-out on call shifts as required in our out of hours’ service. Coordinators will be required to carry out one on-call shift per week and if required to assist to cover the weekend on-call on an ad-hoc basis in situations such as sickness
- Prepare all documents for client files and work with the assessment team and designated assessor to ensure service user files are complete.
- Carry out care worker supervisions and service user quality monitoring and provide written documentation of this and ensure these are added to care worker files
- Carry out spot checks and client visits as required
- Supervise and monitor staff to ensure they are meeting the company standards of care delivery and adherence to safeguarding and mental capacity policy and procedure
Skills and experience
- Great attention to detail
- Polite, friendly, helpful but firm manner
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Experience in a similar role
- Previous care experience desired but not necessary
- An understanding of national and local regulatory authorities
- Desire to work as part of a diverse and multicultural team
- The ability to organise own work and carry out duties without direct supervision
- The ability to manage others
- Full driving license required

A DBS (formerly CRB) check prior to commencement of role is required.
