Wigan based FBW Engineering Services is an international engineering consultancy. The business is underpinned by a comprehensive team of expert engineers, designers and engineering managers each of whom boasts a complimentary range of skills and experience which help our clients in the water, wastewater and waste to energy sectors.
Our team has completed projects of varying size and complexity. We have become the first point of call for clients looking for sustainable solutions for water and wastewater treatment, sludge processing, anaerobic digestion, municipal waste handling and treatment, plus nuclear and industrial effluent treatment.
Due to strategic expansion and an increase in exciting new projects an opportunity for an office administrator has arisen to support the directors and senior management.
Office Administrative Assistant
Duties:
- We are looking for someone with a proactive approach and a can-do attitude.
- You will look after all aspects of Compliance and Office Management.
- Making sure the company is compliant with Health & Safety, GDPR,etc.
- Management and monitoring of the company Quality Assurance Systems (ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001).
- Handling any first-line matters related to operations, personnel, health & safety and IT within the office environment.
- General administration, monitoring and ordering office supplies.
- Collation of timesheets, project tracking.
- Assistance with invoice preparation.
- Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks
- Transcribe meeting notes and distribute to relevant parties
- Managing and arranging any training requirements.
- Provide personal assistant support to director, including managing calendars and scheduling appointments/travel etc.
- Being the point of contact for external visitors and welcoming guests.
- Any other duties that may be required from time to time for the smooth running of the business.
- You will ensure that the business is equipped with the best practice to foster a high-performance culture and a great workplace.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a clerical or administrative role
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in using Google Suite, Microsoft Office applications, and QuickBooks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality
- The candidate needs to be able to adapt roles and responsibilities to suit the needs of the business as it grows.
