In-house Legal Counsel required to join a leading technology company that specialises in providing cutting-edge innovative software solutions for well-renowned brands.
In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in setting up and advancing their newly created legal department. You will be supporting in spearheading initiatives to strengthen their legal operations, offering your expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and risk mitigation.
The ideal candidate will have experience working within a Tech/SaaS environment and will be attracted by the opportunity to make a significant impact on the growth and success of the business. It's an exciting time to grow alongside the business as it undergoes rapid expansion and transformation.
Some of what you will be doing:
- Be responsible for overseeing the entire contract lifecycle, including contract drafting, negotiation, and execution.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations to ensure strict compliance, including GDPR and data privacy. Identify and mitigate legal risks while proposing proactive solutions for improved legal and operational effectiveness.
- Provide comprehensive legal counsel and guidance to internal stakeholders across a wide array of legal areas. Serve as the primary point of contact for legal inquiries, delivering practical, business-oriented solutions to intricate legal issues.
- Develop and oversee a strong contract repository and audit trail system. Implement streamlined processes to accurately track and monitor contractual obligations.
Ideally your skills and experience will include:
- Experience working within a Tech/SaaS environment
- A strong background in Enterprise law, particularly in the areas of technology, intellectual property, and contract law.
- Proven expertise in drafting, negotiating, and managing MSA and enterprise contracts.
- In-depth understanding of NDAs, GDPR, data privacy regulations, and associated legal obligations.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining contract repositories and audit trails.
