What you’ll be doing
Working within our globally based legal team this role is for EMEA assisting our UK operations in the development of the activity, in areas such as Sales, Purchase, Real estate, Science & Technology and IP providing clear and concise legal guidance and advice.
With initial focus on commercial contracts, you’ll also get involved in legal matters such as settlement of claims/disputes including arbitration and mediation, mergers & acquisitions, antitrust & compliance, and other key activity, all primarily related to UK laws.
Your experience
Ideally, you’ll be 3-4 years PQE, with a Master’s in business, international or contract law.
What is essential is that you:
- as a minimum, hold a BSc in Law and practical experience of business law (UK), specifically in contract draft & review, gained in a commercial law firm/industrial in-house setting
- possess UK legal knowledge
- are fluent in English, both written and verbal. A second language such as French would also be useful
- must be willing to travel (ca. 20% of the time) outside of the UK, primarily to Paris, France for business meetings
