Are you interested in working within a community mental health setting with a well-established OT Service and MDT? If so, we have an exciting opportunity that has arisen within the Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team in Luton for full time Occupational Therapy Technician for a fixed term of 12 months.
We are looking for someone with an understanding of mental health and Occupational Therapy. You will be responsible for providing specialist intervention under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist, as well as working independently on a day to day basis in a variety of settings.
The post holder will work within already well-established multi-disciplinary teams to promote and facilitate the OT programme in the community through1:1 intervention, group work, and enabling clients in accessing relevant local community resources which would support their recovery. The post holder must be a car driver.

To work alongside and support qualified Occupational Therapy (OT) staff to jointly provide assessment and intervention to clients of the Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team (CRHT) across both Luton and Bedfordshire, using evidenced based practice to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
To work alongside OT and CRHT staff in providing support to clients in a time of crisis, and equip them with skills and confidence, through brief solution focused interventions to enable a safe discharge from the service.
To implement agreed occupational therapy treatment plans by carrying out practical individual and group social activities with clients.
To co-ordinate with other members of the multi-disciplinary CRHT and occupational therapy team and provide feedback on clients progress.
To develop and maintain links with relevant, statutory and non-statutory agencies throughout Luton & Bedfordshire with particular reference to day care services, user led initiatives, voluntary bodies and work, training and education services.
