We are looking for a suitably qualified Occupational Therapy Technician to join our Long Term Adult Social Care Team on a fixed term 18 month basis.
About the role:
The Postholder will work as part of the Social Services Occupational Therapy Team to support clients in their own homes or to support service users returning home from hospital. The emphasis is on the provision and installation of equipment and minor adaptations to promote rehabilitation and independence within service users homes.
The well established Occupational Therapy Team consists of both qualified and unqualified OT staff including an already established OT Technician.
In this role you will be expected to carry your own caseload which will be varied. At times this will require joint work with other professionals and both internal and external agencies.
As a Council we have adapted to the challenges of Covid and have embraced agile working and are utilising technology for assessments. This role will allow the opportunity for a blended home/office experience.
About you:
We are looking for someone who is suitably qualified with Level 1 City and Guilds/NVQ in Joinery or equivalent, likes variety in their working life and is keen to develop their Occupational Therapy Technician skills through involvement with a wide range of service users with wide ranging health and social care needs . We also offer monthly robust supervision and shadowing/mentoring opportunities
