An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Occupational Therapy Clinical Support Worker to join the inpatient mental health team in the North East of Glasgow. The inpatient occupational therapy team works across the inpatient site including adult acute admissions, older people’s mental health and rehabilitation. An occupational therapist will provide specialist assessments to this patient group and allocate work to the postholder and will provide supervision and support the development of the clinical support worker. The postholder will support ward based therapeutic activity prescribed by the qualified occupational therapist, home visits and community work. The post holder will facilitate group and individual work. All applicants will have an HNC in occupational therapy or equivalent qualifications and / or experience. Candidates should be well motivated, flexible and have excellent communication skills. Previous work experience as an occupational therapy support worker or equivalent would be desirable. Regular clinical supervision will be provided.
