This role will provide strategic and clinical leadership to Occupational Therapists in Community (Adults of Working Age and Older Adult Teams), Specialist (Perinatal, Eating Disorders, Talking Therapies and Psychotherapy), and Adult Neurodevelopmental Services. This post will ensure the provision of a high quality, responsive professional leadership
The post holder will work with Managers and Senior Clinicians within the Trust to ensure that robust arrangements are in place to support Occupational Therapy practice and strategy. This will involve Quality Improvement, development of integrated care pathways both within the Trust and across the Integrated Care System (ICS) and governance (including complaints, investigations and proactive risk management).
This role will help to establish clinical standards, safe staffing and capacity models in clinical areas in line with the NHS Community Mental Health Framework.
Full time 37.5 hours per week (would consider applications for part time/job share)
The Lead Professional for Occupational Therapy is expected to work in the clinical quality directorate , but will have core outcomes in the following areas in partnership with the Clinical Director and other named professional leads:
- Strategy
- Quality
- Leadership (Clinical, Professional)
- Assurance and Compliance
- Workforce Development
- Clinical Practice
- Recovery
