Work Location: This role is countywide so work location base will be confirmed with the successful applicant as one of West (Totton Hub), South (Parkway, Fareham), Mid (Montgomery House, Winchester) or North (Dame Mary Fagan House, Basingstoke).

The consultant team have a wealth of experience and expertise which promotes a learning culture. The team have an ethos of continuous improvement and support the leadership teams with staff development to ensure the Reablement Service can deliver great outcomes for the residents of Hampshire. The consultant team are ambassadors for the reablement service and interact with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and networks.
The growing body of evidence for therapy led goal setting in reablement underpins our approach to multi-disciplinary working in HCC reablement. OT consultants provide programme type support to the service, including technical and clinical skills that reflect this therapy led service growth. They work with the service to develop the workforce to work in a more integrated way, to provide a ‘critical friend’ approach to governance of the service and to ensure that quality remains a priority as demand increases.
You will work alongside Hampshire geographically-based operational advanced practitioners to ensure that future development is meeting the genuine needs of the service. You will use the RCOT career framework to engage and influence staff and managers across the service.
Your skills in management of long-term conditions will be exceptional with a proven track record in achieving positive outcomes, using your operational knowledge to ensure that learning and development is used effectively in practice.
As part of the consultant team, you will demonstrate an agile approach to consultancy and show notable change capability. You will demonstrate awareness of the impact of your personal style and flex your behaviour to develop relationships, including those with key partners & stakeholders.
You must hold an occupational therapy degree/diploma and be HCPC registered to apply
