Job description
We are seeking a dynamic, caring person, with experience of working with children, to join our occupational therapy team as an occupational therapy assistant on a permanent basis.
The role will primarily be to support our Occupational Therapy service and you will work across South Sefton in a variety of community settings such as children's homes, clinics nurseries and schools.
Our community therapy service works with children aged 0-18 (19 in special schools), who have a neuro disability motor co-ordination difficulties, sensory difficulties or developmental delay. We are a small supportive team which includes occupational therapists, admin support, physiotherapy assistants and physiotherapists.
There is an in-service training programme with lots of opportunities for supervision and peer support. We have strong links with staff in acute services at Alder Hey and work in an integrated way with education and socials services colleagues across the city.
