Job Introduction

We’re seeking a driven, compassionate team player with excellent problem-solving skills to join our established and friendly Community Occupational Therapy team, who support adults with disabilities and long term needs to help them live independent and fulfilled lives.

As Occupational Therapy Assistant, you’ll provide information and advice, complete assessments so that people receive the right equipment and housing adaptations, and demonstrate some of the equipment we offer.

An enhanced DBS is required for this role.

Role Responsibilities
  • Provide information and advice as well as demonstrate and fit pieces of equipment in people’s own homes and in equipment clinics.
  • Complete functional assessments, plan interventions which include taking measurements for equipment and adaptations.
  • Work with other health, social care and housing professionals.
  • Gather information from clients and ensure all actions are recorded accordingly.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
Ideal Candidate
  • Experience of working with adults in a health or social care setting. Training and support will be provided. There is opportunity for career development.
  • Confident in using IT systems.
  • Able to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to work independently and have access to a vehicle to use for work.
