Job description
To work within Occupational Therapy as an Apprentice Occupational Therapist, under the Occupational Therapy Apprenticeship programme under supervision. The apprenticeship combines academic and work-based learning through the employer and educational provider collaboration. They will work to towards achieving the HCPC & Royal College of Occupational Therapy standards of practice.
This is a development role. The apprentice will work towards progression into the post of HCPC registered Occupational Therapist through successful completion of the Degree apprenticeship in Occupational Therapy programme which combines academic and work-based learning through the employer and education provide collaboration.
Applicants must have Appropriate Prior Learning which would enable them to enter the programme at year 2.
This post would work on a variety of wards. Most of the patients referred present a wide range of acute and chronic complex and highly complex needs, e.g., stroke, dementia etc.
The post will start as a band 3 in year 1 & then move to band 4 in year 2 and year 3.
