We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join our vibrant and forward thinking Therapy Service. We offer 9 month rotations within the following specialties; Cancer Care, General Intensive Care, Vascular, AMU, Medicine for Older People, Paediatrics, Trauma & Orthopaedics, Neuro and Surgery.
The wide variety of teams you will work in consist of OTs, physios and therapy technicians who are highly skilled within their own speciality. Our teams regularly work with and alongside the doctors, nurses, specialist nurses, other Therapy professions and discharge colleagues to enable a safe timely discharge of our patients.

You will receive:

- You will lead the assessment and treatment of complex patients with a variety of pathologies, and therefore it is essential that you have a broad range of experience
- Lead on complex discharges, with the support of a robust health and social care MDT
- Develop leadership and management skills to be able to supervise and support other members of the team
- Engage in training and developmental opportunities for yourself and others
- Assist with leading the therapy team with the B7 Physiotherapist’s and OT’s
- Mentor students from local universities
- Participate in 7 day working pattern and bank holiday working
This post would be suitable for either an experienced Band 5 or an established Band 6 Occupational Therapist looking for the next step in their professional career. The successful candidate will have a broad range of relevant clinical experience and be able to demonstrate a real passion for the diversity that a patient caseload can provide. The ability to treat patients with care, compassion and dignity is imperative, as well as excellent prioritisation and time management skills. Experience of working in the acute setting is essential, and recent NHS experience is desirable. If you are a dynamic and enthusiastic OT, we would love to hear from you!
