Are you an experienced and dedicated Children’s Occupational Therapist? Are you looking to join a team who is striving to make positive changes in Essex?
We are looking for a Band 7 Occupational Therapist to join our new SEND Therapy service based in Harlow, Essex. As one of our Occupational Therapist you will provide specialist assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based Occupational Therapy (OT) intervention to children and young people with Special Educational Needs.
The role is permanent, part time with the opportunity to work hybrid between visits to local schools / children’s homes and completing virtual sessions from home. As you will be visiting local schools as part of your role, a driving license and access to a vehicle is essential

Main ResponsibilitiesYou main responsibilities will be as follows:
- Providing high quality, specialist, child centred care for children on a designated OT SEND caseload.
- To work with education and other professionals and parents/carers to support the OT needs of children with Education and Health Care Plans (EHCPs).
- To ensure a high standard of child centred service delivery is achieved in line with best practice and commissioning intentions.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Is registered and compliant with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Has evidence of Post graduate training/or equivalent experience relevant to speciality such as:
- Child Development
- Specialist courses/ study on conditions that affect child development, autistic spectrum disorders, ADHD, neurodevelopment conditions, sensory needs
