Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Occupational Therapist to join our Community Mental Health service based at Ty Enion, Community Mental Health Team. This post is particularly suited to a motivated, experienced and skilled Occupational Therapist who is competent in providing compassionate and person-centred care to this population group.

We are seeking an individual with excellent clinical skills who is enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated, to lead a team of OT staff within an integrated multidisciplinary team. This post involves close working relationships with the senior multidisciplinary team in driving service development, and involvement in the wider OT service across the Adult Mental Health Service

To manage a defined caseload within specialist area, using evidence based / client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the outcomes of intervention

To organise this efficiently and effectively with regard to clinical priorities and use of time.

To work in partnership with clients, carers and all stake holders including the multidisciplinary team to identify relevant goals and support service development.

To provide leadership and supervision to the OT staff across Adult Mental Health Services

To regularly supervise Occupational Therapy students on practice placements.

To be a clinical leader for Occupational Therapy within identified specialist area leading by example, demonstrating good practice, openness and responsiveness to emerging evidence.

To provide highly developed expertise within the MDT setting.
