About the Role
Base Location: Perth or Glasgow
Salary: £28,300 - £42,500 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available
As SSE’s Occupational Health Support and Admin Lead you will manage the company’s external occupational health contract, ensuring strict adherence to health surveillance competency. You’ll join a small and friendly team where you’ll have the opportunity to be involved in various wellbeing programmes and initiatives throughout the year. The main responsibilities of the role are:
- Ensuring that employee occupational health screening is accurate and up to date through the management of SSE’s external occupational health contract, internal stakeholder management, and internal communications
- Monitoring occupational health and wellbeing checks to identify early signs and symptoms of work-related ill-health of employees and taking appropriate action.
- Managing a budget circa £500k for the occupational health department, reporting on a regular basis to the Head of Occupational Health & Wellbeing to enable forecasting and manage spending.
- Innovatively collecting, storing, and producing occupational health data to aid the smooth running of the department.
- Creating and modernising processes and procedures to help demonstrate compliance with HSE and Health surveillance screening for a large organisation.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Strong administration skills along with a good understanding of medical or occupational health terminology.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills along with experience of internal and external stakeholder management.
- Experience of maintaining effectiveness and resilience in a busy and challenging environment.
- Previous experience of managing a budget is advantageous but not essential.
