Job Purpose
Ensure a clean, safe and friendly environment by maintaining the cleanliness of the Oasis Dining Quarters.
Duties & Responsibilities
The following is a list of your primary duties and responsibilities. Please remember that you are part of a larger CCS at Meadowhall team that the list below is not exhaustive, and we should therefore be willing to help and assist all our colleagues in other teams at any time.
· Cleaning of the upper and lower Oasis Dining Quarter and Lanes areas as tasked.
· Deep cleaning as per schedule and any other duties deemed appropriate to the skills of the individual to the required standard
· Providing optimal customer services to all key stakeholders - recognising that the public, retail tenants and colleagues are all customers.
Communication and interpersonal skills
- Liaise with line managers and other operatives on day-to-day cleaning matters. Inform line managers of any problems arising.
- Communication with customers and retailers as required.
Problem solving and decision making
- Required to understand and apply departmental procedures and follow schedules.
- Supporting centre supervisors.
- Lost/found property procedures.
- Required to understand and put into practice the safe operation of cleaning equipment and use of chemicals according to training undertaken and procedures provided, with an awareness of the manufactures’ instructions and COSHH regulations.
- Decide when to report a suspected pest infestation, machinery breakdowns or faults with building, furniture or fixtures and fittings.
Working Conditions
Required to work with cleaning equipment and chemicals in the Oasis Dining Quarter areas and toilets, disabled toilets, baby changing and feeding rooms, sluice rooms and storerooms. Predominantly work internally but may also be required to work externally as instructed. The role will require manual handling, working with cleaning equipment and chemicals.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 4 months
Part-time hours: 16 per week
Salary: £10.90 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 16 per week
