We are looking for a Nursing Auxiliary to join the WWL family on our Paediatric Outpatients Department.We are for somebody who is conscientious, enthusiastic, friendly person to join our team at Wigan on a permanent basis. Ideally you would haveprevious experience within a healthcare setting, have excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to work independently. Function as a member of the Multi-disciplinary Team by assisting the registered nurse in the health care provision for sick children/babies and their families. Development of self to meet the evolving needs of the service, ensuring efficient and effective use of all resources. To provide good general “house-keeping” duties under the direction of trained staff. On-Call Please note that senior positions (AFC band 8A or above) may be expected to participate in an on-call rota, if the role is predominantly operational. Maintain consistency with standard of care. Maintain compliance with the data protection act 1988 and information governance ensuring confidentiality is adhered too. Demonstrate under pinning theoretical knowledge within their clinical practice of infection control, health and safety, ethical and legal issues. Demonstrate adaptability of the role within distinct clinical environments. Recognise the appropriateness of transferable skills when providing individualised high quality patient care. Demonstrate application of professional attitudes in all aspects of care delivery within the clinical environment. Ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements in accordance with Trust policies. Undertake and regularly update Child Protection training.
