KMPT is offering the opportunity to apply for a Nursing Associate Apprenticeship
This is a 2 year Apprenticeship with KMPT in partnership with Canterbury Christ Church University
The apprenticeship programme will commence in September 2023
During the course Apprentices will be paid at Band 3 and on successful completion of the Apprenticeship you will become a Nursing Associate and will transition into a Band 4 post.
The locations of the posts will be given at interview.
During the apprenticeship you will work primarily in a Band 3 position with a base service or team
You will also attend university 1 to 2 days a week and will be expected to complete academic study and evidence learning via the university. You will be given some protected learning time to support your studies.
Please note that the University training programmes have fixed annual leave times. You are not able to take leave outside of the University timetable.

In order to apply for the position and be put forward for interview you must have the correct entry qualifications. These qualifications are necessary to be able to register with the University and NMC.
To be eligible to apply for the Nurse Associate Apprenticeship you must have Maths and English language GCSE at grade C or above, or functional skills at level 2 or above. We will require a copy of these certificates in order to accept the application, without these the application cannot be accepted
As a Nursing Associate Apprentice you will complete placements outside of your base team. These will enable you to gain work
experience with different age groups and in a variety of settings. (You may be asked to travel outside of your local area to attend these
placements and to work within the shift pattern of that service). You will need to successfully complete Practice Assessment Documents during
your placements to evidence your knowledge, competency and professional values.
