Medical and Surgical Outpatients and the Breast Care Unit have an opportunity for two part time Health Care Assistants at Band 3 to join the Team.
We would welcome applications from individuals who have a genuine interest in outpatient nursing who are motivated, enthusiastic individuals committed to providing excellent patient care. The post holder will provide compassionate, and high-quality care under the direct or indirect supervision of a registered nurse and working within the abilities and limitations of your competence to carry out those tasks for which you are trained.
The role will require flexibility as the post holder will not only work alongside the Main Outpatient Team but also our colleagues in our purpose built Breast Care Unit. The post holder will therefore be required to provide support over a wide range of service/functions. Key to this flexibility is the requirement for staff to work variable hours on a week- by -week basis within agreed limits if required.
Previous experience within a health care setting is desirable preferably within secondary care with an education qualification in numeracy and literacy. Please see the essential criteria before applying for the post.

Post 1 - Band 3 24 hours per week permanent
Post 2 – Band 3 34 hours per week fixed term/secondment to cover maternity leave from 22 May 2023 until the 19 May 2024 - This secondment opportunity would mean your current post can be held for your return; and the fixed term means your current manager can get temporary staff to fill your post while you try something new. Please discuss with your current manager prior to applying.
Our Clinics are led by Consultants . The role will involve supporting and organising these clinics. Our clinics are held on every week day and in future we may working towards a six day service so a flexible approach to working is essential.
