Caring for infants in a Nursery setting within a busy NICU environment, infants with complex needs including supplementary oxygen, naso gastric tube feeding, surgical babies, as well as extremely Preterm establishing feeds.
Liaising with Neonatal Outreach service, preparation for discharge home.
Parentcraft and Family Integrated care, supporting Mothers with Breast feeding.

The Directorate of Child Health provides a full range of regional and district general services for children and neonates across a broad range of specialities.
Successful candidates will need to be sensitive towards children and their families, maintain standards of confidentiality and uphold the values of the UHB. In addition the person should be professional, possess good communication skills, and have a flexible approach to working within the Neonatal care service.
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a 32 cot unit offering both medical and surgical care to a wide range of infants from all over South Wales. The unit comprises of 8 intensive care, 12 high dependency and 12 Special Care cots. This post offers an exciting opportunity to join a highly motivated team delivering Neonatal Care within an expanding unit.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
