Do You have what it takes to fulfil the trusts vision and provide the best care for everybody? A fantastic opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Educator is much needed here on Cardiology Ward for a part time (18.75 Hours) Band 6 nurse.
The successful candidate will need to have the ability to utilize nursing research and evidence based practice to facilitate the professional development of our staff members. Leadership skills will be required in order to supervise and manage others in order to contribute towards planning, designing, delivering and improving future services. Also need to have an ability to self motivate as well as motivate mothers by being an outstanding role model and disseminate specialist clinical skills, so we can continue to provide high quality here on our friendly Cardiology Ward team at Gloucester Royal Hospital NHS Trust. Essential time management skills are a must when organizing own time and that of others.
Cardiology ward is a busy, unpredictable ward requiring high quality/compassionate nursing care. The successful candidate will be working in a progressively changing environment who will promote the Trust values and be committed to high standards of service delivery.
- Knowledge, skills, experience and understanding to have ability to act as a resource and support nursing team.
- Communication, interpersonal skills and personal qualities to work cohesively with all members of the team, sometimes under pressure. Ability to be proactive and use initiative.
- Clinical practice will have to be co-ordinated for any staff training to ensure a high professional standard, and will need ability to perform clinical skills with dexterity. Also assist Matron and Senior Sister with ongoing training ad development of staff.
- Good leadership and management skills in line with the Trusts policies and procedures, such as health and safety, Manual handling, data protection, patient confidentiality, risk management, safe guarding and clinical equipment competency.
- Education and training, to be actively involved with arranging and delivering departmental education programmes. To mentor, support and educate in clinical practice setting.
Improve quality and develop practice by identifying ow learning needs and own professional development is maintained by keeping up to date. Engage with clinical supervision
Physical, Mental and Emotional Effort & working conditions may hard at times when working under pressure, but standards will still need to be maintained.

We are a 25 bedded unit with 8 specialist coronary care beds and 12 portable telemetry monitors. Cheltenham cardiac ward will be joining us along with the cath laboratories the end of this year when we become single site.
