The Nuclear Safety Group is a multi-disciplinary team, working on projects across departments within the power station and other divisions within the EDF wider technical community in the UK, and they have a role that might be of interest to you!
As a Nuclear Safety Team Member, you’ll be applying an analytical approach to problem solving, including the provision of technical advice to the station on Nuclear Safety issues ranging from reactor physics to plant availability and safety case compliance (dependent on your personal areas of expertise).

Pay, Benefits and Culture
We’re offering a salary of £37,080 - £56,779 apply with our terms and conditions covered by the EDF Company Agreement. The starting salary for the appointment will be dependent on your existing salary, competence, experiences and qualification.

What you’ll be doing
Your key day to day responsibilities will include:
Analysing/interpreting data and providing authoritative advice to support management of the plant in a safe and efficient manner and within the appropriate safety limits- Providing a professional customer/client-based
- quality service in relevant aspects of Nuclear Plant Performance and Safety Case Management
- Undertaking a relevant role in accordance with the station emergency response arrangements (subject to completion of appropriate training).
Who you are
You’ll need at least an HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering, physical sciences or mathematics discipline for this role. A relevant degree may be advantageous but either way training will be provided based on existing experience. A background in nuclear power plant operations or nuclear technology/engineering would be an advantage.
Your excellent communication and influencing skills will be required to provide understanding, interpretation and guidance on compliance, Site Licence and Safety Case matters. You’ll provide focus, enthusiasm and have the ability to work independently, taking on responsibility for delivery of assignments within deadlines as well as being a strong team player.
