Role: Solicitor (Private Client)

Place of work: Glasgow city centre

Contract type: Permanent 35 hours

Working Hours: Monday Friday, 9am 5pm

Due to growth & expansion Jones Whyte seeks to appoint a Private Client Solicitor, with 1-3 years PQE working within our busy Bereavement department.

The existing team handles a diverse range of estate administration including English and Scottish estates, Trust administration and intestate estates.

The ideal candidate is a client focussed, proactive with a positive attitude and flexible approach. They will be a strong team player with a caring and compassionate nature, particularly when dealing with emotional and sensitive matters. You will be handling a varied caseload taking instructions. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail.

The Successful Candidate will be: -

  • Receiving direction from, and reporting to, the managing partners
  • Taking instruction from clients
  • Approving Legal Documents
  • Administering files from start to finish using a case management system.
  • Solicitor with between 1-3 years' PQE.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, to prioritise and manage a varied caseload.
  • Previous experience within a private client department.
  • Ability to work without supervision.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and on your own initiative.
  • Strong legal and leadership skills with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • STEP qualified preferred but not essential
