Main Purpose

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to manage an exciting portfolio of new and innovative heating and ventilation products to support our purpose “To be a leader in the transition to a sustainable world”.

The successful candidate will guide and coordinate international cross functional project teams through all stages of our New Product Introduction (NPI) process, from project definition to market launch & post launch reviews.

The main focus will be to plan and supports all project management activities, inclusive of the creating and maintaining of detailed project plans, tracking of key deliverables, and managing of the Stage Gate process with all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain cross functional project plans and documentation for the introduction of new products.
  • Work in conjunction with project team members and create an agreed-upon timeline and schedule.
  • Co-ordinate project meetings, taking and publishing minutes of meetings and associated action plans.
  • Create and maintain projects activity and reports in our portfolio management software.
  • Help improve and embed the NPI Stage Gate process across the division.
  • Actively manage the NPI Stage and Gate process, including the coordination with senior executives to validate Stage Gates.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and scope creep with impact to all stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Promote and maintain clear communication and alignment on projects across all functions and sites including the UK & Ireland, Germany, France, Scandinavia, and Latvia.
  • Track financial spend against project budgets.
  • Conduct post launch review meetings to support continuous improvement of the NPI process.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project, proactively address any issues when they arise.


Skills, Knowledge and Experience

ESSENTIAL

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Demonstrate a track record of managing complex multi-disciplinary projects effectively, ideally in Manufacturing, Design or Engineering.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, motivate and influence cross functional teams internally and externally
  • Ability to foster communication/collaboration amongst all project team members
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • Curious and always looking for ways to improve
  • Demonstrates honesty and integrity
  • Flexible and adaptable to change
  • Team player who encourages positive communication and respect
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and project management software(s)

DESIRABLE


  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience working using a Stage and Gate process
  • Experience using Smartsheet for project/portfolio management
  • Knowledge of heating and ventilation products

TRAVEL

The role holder’s primary place of employment will be Dunleer with a mixture of planned and/or ad-hoc business travel to other Glen Dimplex locations, customers and suppliers as and when required.
