Role Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity for any Project Managers looking to join a fast-paced Project Management Office (PMO), within a global organisation where you will gain the opportunity to work alongside industry experienced PMs on a wide range of projects.

In this role you will play a key part on leading NPD projects working with different departments across the business to lead on the delivery of new products.

In this role you will manage a variety of different projects at the same time across the full project life cycle.

The key responsibilities of the NPD Manager are:

  • Taking Project ownership & managing product development according to the critical path and timelines to ensure all elements of the process are executed on time by all relevant stakeholders.
  • Building effective relationships with all key stakeholders (both internal and external) to ensure engagement leading to project delivery and maximising the NPD opportunity.

· Ensuring familiarity with system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.

· Assembling the project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing the schedule to ensure timely completion of the project.

· Demonstrating commercial acumen by driving project profitability and delivering tangible results in line with economic assumptions up to the closing stage-gate (Gate 6).

· Leading Cross-Functional Teams (CFTs) of colleagues from R&D, Marketing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • Strong NPD project management experience.
  • Experience delivering full life cycle projects using a variety of project management methodologies.
  • Confident at building relationships and holding project team (internal and external) to account across a broad geographical reach and making well-reasoned decisions / proposals with strong influence.
  • (Desirable)Experienced user of planning, change and configuration management tools.
  • Degree classification in a related field.
  • Recognized project management qualification (desirable), for example:

Project Management Professional (PMP)

APM PMQ or above (or IPMA equivalents)

PRINCE2® Practitioner
