As we continue to expand our portfolio, we are seeking a talented and experienced NPD Distiller to join us in developing new spirits and recipes.
Job Description:
As the NPD Distiller - New Product and Recipe Development, you will be responsible for spearheading our efforts in creating innovative spirits that captivate the market. Your primary focus will be on conceptualising, formulating, and refining new product ideas, as well as developing and fine-tuning recipes. You will collaborate closely with our production team, marketing team, and other stakeholders to bring these ideas to life.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the research and development of new spirits and soft drinks, including conceptualisation, formulation, and recipe development.
- Conduct experiments and analyze data to optimize product quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with the production and HACCP team to ensure smooth scale-up and implementation of new recipes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market demands, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for new product development.
- Conduct sensory evaluations and quality assessments of spirits throughout the development process.
- Maintain detailed records of recipes, processes, and experimental findings.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to provide technical expertise and support for product launches, promotional activities, and consumer education.
- Maintain a clean and organized distillery workspace, adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Working with our external lab for testing
Qualifications:
- Degree in chemistry, food science, or a related field are a plus.
- Proven experience in NPD or in a similar role within the industry.
- In-depth knowledge of beverage processes, including fermentation, distillation, aging, carbonation and soft drinks
- Strong understanding of sensory evaluation techniques and quality control processes.
- Creative mindset with a passion for innovation and product development.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work meticulously.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
