Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an initial 2 year fixed term appointment in the Northern Ambulance Alliance to continue the roll out of the first major robotic process automation project in the ambulance sector. This is a transformational project that has the potential to place the NAA Trusts at the forefront of RPA work across the ambulance service by delivering measurable changes to the way in which data capture and processing are delivered.
Working across the four NAA Trusts ambulance trusts the post holder will be responsible for the development and delivery of a the second phase of automations using the in pace Blue Prism Cloud platform that that been used to deploy 8 initial process across the NAA. Alongside the NAA Digital Transformation Lead, the RPA Project Manager and the Project Support Officer as part of the NAA RPA team the post holder will be responsible for working with key stakeholders to identity, plan and deliver automations, using an agreed delivery processes.
Key tasks will include:
- Communication with project stakeholders in the contributing Trusts using face to face and virtual meetings, using oral and written material to reach agreement of the agreed outcomes of each robotics process.
- Plan additions, deletions and minor modifications to in place process automations by implementing and managing the change control process to ensure services are not adversely impacted because of change.
The post offers the opportunity for the successful candidate to work with significant degree of autotomy within a small team. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a proactive approach to their own CPD.
The Northern Ambulance Alliance (NAA) was first created in 2016 with the three northern ambulance services of the North East (NEAS), North West (NWAS) and Yorkshire (YAS).
Recognising that we could achieve more by working together than acting on our own, the aim of the alliance is to collaborate to improve health outcomes and delivering greater benefits for the member organisations and populations we collectively serve.
In 2018 the alliance was further strengthened with the inclusion of the East Midlands ambulance services (EMAS) as a member. The NAA has established a Board (NAAB) consisting of Trust Chairs and Chief Executives that focuses on agreed strategic priorities across the footprint of the northern ambulance services. Five key work-streams have been identified as follows:
- Digital
- Quality Improvement
- Fleet and Procurement
- Workforce
- Corporate Services
Working in the NAA Digital work-stream as part of the NAA Digitisation Team, the RPA Developer will be responsible for the planning, developing and implementing RPA processes supporting the four NAA Trusts, with the assistance of a project manager and project support manager
Within this context key tasks will include:
- Communication with project stakeholders in the contributing Trusts using face to face and virtual meetings, using oral and written material to reach agreement of the agreed outcomes of each robotics process. This will involve detailed analysis of workflow processes and aspects of solution design.
- Plan additions, deletions and minor modifications to in place process automations by implementing and managing the change control process to ensure services are not adversely impacted because of change.
- Monitor and report on performance and applying corrective action strategies as appropriate
