Job description
An immediate vacancy for a Support Technician, with experience in a manufacturing environment. Working within a specialist manufacturing facility, consisting of prototyping and final build, you will support design & development teams in the manufacture of equipment based on customer specifications. Skills required include machining and some fabrication.

Our Opportunity
Working within the machine model shop you will support the wider Industrial team with day-to-day issues seen from a mechanical perspective in manufacture. You will also work with engineering to understand drawings and the overall concept of what is trying to be achieved. There is opportunity to have input to a design or steer it toward our in house processes or apply knowledge of what is available from the supply chain. Day to day could be the fabrication of tooling to support manufacture to rectification work extracting broken fixing or the manufacture of prototype designs.
Duties include being responsible for;
- Adheres to regulation
- CNC machining operation/ setting
- Hand tool for metal work operation
- Provides feedback to Engineering team regarding design, the materials
About You
Hands on machine shop or tool shop engineer, with proven experience within a manufacturing environment.
Other attributes include;
- Mechanical
- Supplier liaison
- Computer Literate
- Additive manufacturing experience would be an advantage
