Job description
PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTION
The purpose of this position is to build and maintain customer loyalty by providing prompt friendly service by being the first point of customer contact for inquiries such as pricing, product information, shipments and orders while ensuring delivery of excellent customer service in a relaxed but fast-paced and goal-oriented environment.
This is done by timely and accurate processing of orders, communication and coordination with other departments,
when necessary, to resolve inquiries. Doing so will build and maintain customer loyalty.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Processing customer orders using data entry software program (Impress)
- Corresponding with customers via email and phone
- Contacting customers regarding any shipping delays, discontinued items, etc.
- Confirming all orders within 48 hours
- Proofing of your own entered orders for accuracy and correction of any discrepancies
- Working with other departments to answer any questions there may be to move a customer order through the process
- Performing any other tasks and duties, as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees and customers
- Ability to drive results with minimal direction
- Multi-talented skill set and capable of making little or no errors in work duties
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Computer proficiency and aptitude for learning new software programs
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Examples: Sitting for long periods of time, frequent alpha/numeric keyboarding, oral communication over the phone and in person, ability to view a computer monitor, lifting up to 30 pounds, frequent filing
