Job Title: Cleaning Operative
We are looking for one trustworthy and dedicated cleaner to clean a small school, for 5 days a week during term-time only, and also be available for Summer Holiday cleaning (if required).
This needs to take place outside operating hours, to attend after 5pm in the evening for 4 hour shifts. This is not the only position/location available, we have other roles with different completion times and hour/day requirements. We need cleaners that are trustworthy and happy working through a list of tasks on their own but also have the capacity to work alongside others and split duties that are required.
This is a permanent role. The successful applicants will become a very valued member of the current team and will receive online and in-person training, as well as an Enhanced DBS check certification.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
- Clean and sanitize staff/student toilets and replenish supplies
- Empty rubbish and replace liners
- Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces
- Maintain cleanliness throughout
- Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
- Report any maintenance or repair issues
- Adhere to health and safety regulations
Skills:
- Attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Time management skills to complete tasks within designated timeframes
- Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and standing for periods of time
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and senior staff
