Job overview
An exciting opportunity for a 9 month secondment, predominantly Monday-Friday 0730-1530 with some long days, for someone with existing clinical skills to support T3 manage complex wounds, support patient safety and provide staff education.
You will support the ward to maintain patient safety through:
- Support complex dressing care; including dressing removal, wound maintenance, dressing preparation and application and documentation
- Facilitate education and training for ward staff in wound management but also support mandatory training
- Contribute to audit and improving patient care and experience
- Support ward staff with day-to-day patient care; including preparing and transferring patients for theatre, procedures, and discharge, administering medications, and maintaining patient safety
- Liaise and work with all members of the MDT
Main duties of the job

We are a friendly, supportive and patient focused team who work quickly and efficiently to ensure our patients are cared for in a safe and efficient manner. The ward is supported by a very experienced vascular nurse specialist team and works closely with all members of the MDT.
T3 is a 28 bedded mixed sex ward. We have a varied shift pattern of early shifts (0730-1530), late shifts (1230-2030), long days (0730-2030), night shifts (2000-0800) and twilights (1700-0100).
