We currently have an exciting opportunity within the Imaging Business Unit at Royal Derby Hospital (RDH) & Florence Nightingale Community Hospital (FNCH) for someone to join the Admin and Clerical Team. We see patients attending for imaging tests across several modalities (Ultrasound, MRI, CT, X-Ray).
You will possess the skills and qualities to work in an area of high activity, supervise, train and recruit staff. You will be an enthusiastic and motivated team player with excellent communication skills and experience in administrative duties.
You will be expected to support an efficient waiting list service to the consultants and their team in respect of NHS work; work flexibly with or alongside waiting list staff, consultants and other teams as required.
Core skills/qualifications include IT literacy, good written and verbal communication skills, NVQ level III in Business Admin or equivalent experience and English Language and Maths at O’ level/GCSE (Grade C or 4/5 or above)
Administration and clerical duties including waiting list management, appointment scheduling, reception duties and answering telephone queries.
Responsible for the managing and organising the workload of members of the pathway support team ensuring a friendly and efficient reception and bookings service.
You must be a confident communicator and able to liaise with clinicians, clinical staff and patients and be able to multi-task.
You should also have demonstrable experience of working in a patient orientated environment, and be experienced in using similar setting I.T. systems.
Knowledge of Imaging IT systems (CRIS) and procedures would also be advantageous and an understanding of appointment/waiting list management with knowledge of Imaging key performance indicators, waiting times and 18 week referral to treatment policy.
