Spa & Leisure Manager
The Mercure Newcastle George Washington Hotel Golf and Spa is an independently owned 4 star hotel, golf and leisure complex located on the outskirts of Newcastle upon Tyne. We have recently joined Mercure Hotels, a brand of Accor Hospitality, Europe's leading hotel group with over 4000 hotels. The Washington-based hotel offers a convenient location for visitors to the Tyne and Wear region with easy access to the major road network and within 15 minutes of Newcastle upon Tyne, Sunderland and Durham.
Job Description
- Overseeing daily operations of the Spa and Leisure, ensuring its profitability and quality of service delivery to members and guests.
- Provide coaching, training team and to drive sales and deliver best possible experience at all times.
- You will be responsible for stock take, rota's and overseeing the Spa and Leisure team
- Managing budgets, reporting on the Spa's and Leisure's financial performance and participate in the financial planning & development of the long- and short-term business plans of the Spa.
- Attract repeat business by offering an outstanding service and showcasing the spa facilities.
- Operate the Spa and Leisure facilities to the highest Health & Safety standards
- Oversee housekeeping and maintenance of Spa and leisure facilities.
- Monitor and respond to guest feedback relating to facilities
Essential:
- Min 2 years industry Spa and Leisure Management experience
- Good written and verbal command in the English Language and have a thorough knowledge of the Hospitality/Spa industry
- Good standards of computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Excel
- Management experience of running a Spa or Leisure club
- Previous experience of delivering excellent customer service
- Ability to lead and motivate team members
- Well organised with attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time often switching from one to another without loss of efficiency or composure
- Professional sales and marketing qualities are essential to maximise growth opportunities.
Experience of Elemis products would be an advantage.
