British Wool is a farmer run organisation which was established in 1950 to operate a central marketing system for fleece wool. We collect the most complex wool clip in the world from over 35,000 sheep farmers throughout the UK and prepare it for sale at electronic auction.
At British Wool Evanton we are looking to recruit a Intake Co-Ordinator.
Main purpose of the job:
This is a dual role incorporating management of Member relationships alongside working on the depot floor. To provide and manage excellent customer service, general administrative duties along with co-ordinating the depot intake of wool throughout the year. Moving stock from intake through the grading process onto stock control.
Main Responsibilities:
Member Services
- Communicate effectively and professionally with members, hauliers, customers and staff.
- Book in member and haulier deliveries ensuring maximum capacities are maintained.
- Communicate key messages to members and attend teams calls when required.
- Actively promote British Wool with members.
- Provide the depot Manager/Supervisor with comprehensive feedback on any comments, suggestions, concerns, or issues raised by hauliers or members.
Data Input
- General input of data daily.
- Ensuring time and attendance system is accurate and up to date.
H & S
- Assist the Depot Supervisor/Manager in maintaining Health and Safety Standards, and duties.
Finance
- Maintain & document petty cash expenditure.
- Forwarding invoices to finance team.
Depot
- Work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, therefore, the duties of the role can be of a physical nature.
- Move stock.
- Helping with the day-to-day depot operation.
- Liaise with members delivering wool.
Skills & Abilities
- Excellent numerical and data entry abilities with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to prioritise workflow with strong organisation skills.
- Polite and courteous telephone manner.
- Effective communicator.
- Confident to work on own initiative as well as being a team player.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Have previous warehouse experience (at least 6 months)
- Flt license desirable
- Excellent Customer service

- English & Maths GCSE grade C or above
