Job description
Non emergency ambulance driver required to work for a long-established company located in the Keighley and Bradford area drivers must have a friendly disposition to be able to communicate with patients, clients, colleagues, and the public to complete daily tasks.
Ambulance drivers must be capable of working on their own initiative, re-planning and adjusting routes as required in the event of changing conditions to be able to meet deadlines and timescales, full training will be given

Transport
- Carriage and Transportation of passengers / products to varied client locations, including private address, hospices, nursing homes and Hospitals
- Collection and distribution of confidential items such as, passengers, case notes, medical records, and samples
- Collection and delivery of specimens and blood products to various sites, across our footprint, as per our clients’ instructions.
- Responsible for the signature and safe delivery of items, samples etc
- Transporting passengers in wheelchairs assisting as needed and securely fastening / strapping wheelchairs for transport
The successful candidate is expected to ensure their behaviour is always consistent with company values and is expected to:
- Held a driving licence for a minimum of 2 years
- Have 6 or less (current) points on your driving licence

- Safe collection and distribution of confidential items such as, case notes and medical records.
- Safe collection and delivery of specimens / blood products to various sites, across our footprint, as per our clients’ instructions.
- Be able to re-plan routes daily to consider road and traffic conditions.
- Complete timesheets, daily vehicle log sheets and any other necessary administration documents.
- Use Manual Handling equipment.
Vehicles
- Carry out cleaning, daily maintenance, routine safety checking of vehicles to ensure they are roadworthy and legal.
