This opportunity is in the solution design and development arena for Node JS Developer will play a major role with the technical design and development of the company’s technical offerings. The position is based at our Leicester office with occasional assignments at client locations.
Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities):
- Delivering secure, reliable and scalable software, and supporting your team with technical tasks when needed
- Evaluating and advising on design choices and ensuring that software is high quality and balances technical and business considerations
- Defining and documenting test cases for new systems and maintaining live systems to ensure ongoing performance
- Evolving new approaches/solutions with other professions through discoveries, maintaining a focus on development and deployment
- Helping priorities and direct technical tasks across your team, to balance new and live services
- Creating and supporting development of backend API
- Solid experience in building azure functions in Node JS
- Design and develop REACT & Azure web applications
- Delivered fully interactive prototypes with rapid iterations
- Will work on QA tools like Postman, SoapUI, etc. knowledge of creating and implementing security features for APIs
- Solid experience of working with Relational DB with Javascript ORM, preferably Postgres (Sequilize preferred) Architecture based on events (Azure EventGrid, Kafka preferred) Experience in Agile/Scrum-based development Experience with test-driven development or behaviour
Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment]
- Azure Functions NodeJS JavaScript and/or TypeScript development experience
- REST/JSON API creation/usage
- Swagger/OpenAPI3 specification knowledge
- Relational Db (Postgres preferred) with Javascript ORM (Sequilize preferred) Event based architecture (Azure EventGrid, Kafka preferred) Agile/Scrumbased development experience Behaviour or Test-Driven Development experience
- Other Azure tools - such as Blob Storage, API-M
- Testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI etc. Experience of designing/implementing security aspects within APIs
- Experience in using Azure insights Must have skills
- Team management, experience in technical leadership
- Additional experience related to desirable skills for Developers

Salary: GBP 35000 to 50000 per annum
