Due to the sensitive nature of this role you may be required to undergo DV (Developed Vetting) level Security Clearance (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/united-kingdom-security-vetting-clearance-levels/national-security-vetting-clearance-levels). An allowance of £5k per annum may be payable monthly while you hold this DV and continue to work in a role that requires that level of security clearance. The terms of this allowance will be made available if you are successful in being recruited into this role.

Why this job matters:
In your role as a NOC Technician, you’ll bring your technical expertise to bear on interesting and challenging problems within Cyber Security. You will be responsible for contributing to the design, deployment, support and maintaining a customer network. You will also help to innovate and develop new products, as well as process improvement initiatives. This role will require working as part of a team, supporting colleagues and collaboration with customers.
What you’ll do:
- Operate within a 24/7 NOC, working day/night shift pattern.
- Monitor in-life platforms and services reacting to any events as required liaising with the customer where required.
- Investigate incidents and take necessary actions to resolve and attending technical and Service management bridge calls as required.
- Complete fault tickets accurately and with the required detail to produce a summary report.
- Create Incident Schedules and liaise with Resource Management to obtain the correct skills to undertake the tasks.
- Ensure the Escalation/Notification profile is followed in accordance with local Escalation /Notification processes to meet the agreed SLA.
- Liaise with Asset Management to identified Equipment/Spares needed to resolve an Incident.
- Liaise with Change Management to agree changes needed to resolve an Incident. May need to attend CAB
- Create routine Maintenance Schedules and direct Field Teams on performing the Maintenance Routine tasks.
What you'll bring:
- Network Transmission – e.g. Ciena/Fibre including the monitoring of Fiber Networks.
- CCNA/JCNIA or equivalent networking knowledge.
- Experience in managing Network infrastructure.
