Night Support Worker - Complex Care

Claimont Health is recruiting for Complex Care Support Workers who will be reporting to our Complex Care Lead Nurse. The postholder will benefit from the support and motivation of both the clinical and operations teams and will provide support to long term condition and frailty client in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
We are looking for high quality, dynamic and experienced Complex Care Support Workers, who are able to provide an all round support based at the individuals home or other community setting to join our team either on a Full Time or Bank Staff basis. Successful applicant will work autonomously within the assessed skills framework for our client in areas including, but not limited to:
- Tracheostomy care including airway management, suctioning and emergency tube changes.
- Ventilation including assessment of respiratory function, oxygen saturation monitoring, alternative methods of ventilation and emergency scenarios.
- Enteral nutrition and care of gastrostomy / jejunotomy / nasogastric / PEG tubes.
- Bowel care including digital stimulation.
- Suprapubic catheter care including changing of catheters.
- Seizure management, recognising onset and patters of seizures activity, differentiating between different types of seizures, administering rescue medication if indicated / prescribed.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- 2 year or more experience as a Complex Care Support Worker.
- Diploma in relevant health/ social subject.
- Flexibility, maturity, independence, and carry a very high professional standard.
- Commitment to delivering client specific care.
- Adaptable approach to support client and family members.
- Ability to maintain clear professional boundaries within a home setting.
