We are currently looking to grow our friendly team of Night Support Workers at Homeleigh Farm in Romney Marsh, Kent, part of Priory Adult Care.
Homeleigh farm is a large bungalow which is home to six male residents with a diagnosis of learning disabilities.
The service is set on the historic Romney Marsh in a rural location yet only a mile from the coast. It also boasts one and a half acres of land, a greenhouse and vegetable patch and several lawns which are ideal for summer BBQ's and activities for both residents and staff to take part and enjoy. We now have a refurbished games room that everyone can use and enjoy.
All the residents who live at Homeleigh farm are very active and fully integrated members of the local community. As a service, one of our main goals is promoting the independence of our residents so staff are expected to support and supervise, on a regular basis, the daily tasks that aid the reaching of this goal. Accompanying residents to various activities which incluse swimming, bowling, library visits ,the local snooker hall and of course the all important shopping trips.
All meals are prepared by staff with support from the residents who enjoy this task but drinks throughout the day are prepared by the residents for the residents and staff if they wish.
Staff are primarily engaged in supporting and supervising the residents in their day to day lives, to enrich their lives and to let them live their life in the best possible way for them.
