Due to continued business growth, providing bespoke solutions for leading blue-chip companies across a range of sectors, we require fully-skilled WELDERS and/or FABRICATORS to join our growing team in Heckmondwike on a full or part time permanent basis.

ABOUT YOU
No one day is the same at WAKEFIELD ACOUSTICS, as there are many sequences within a build, you could find yourself dealing with weld base assembly one day and using band saws or pillar drills another. Due to the variety of this role, we are looking for self-driven, hard-working welders/fabricators who we can trust with a multitude of tasks and ideally has a NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
To be successful in this role you MUST be able to work unsupervised from engineering drawings, dealing with MIG/TIG weld framework, steel work and panel work.
You will need to have experience working with mild & stainless steel, and with all thickness of materials. You will be expected to have basic knowledge of sheet metal machinery (guillotines, band saw, pillar drill etc.) and be able to assemble jobs – as this goes hand in hand with our work at times.
In addition, you MUST be a team player, this is key in our business, along with working safely, following all health & safety guidelines and inhouse cleanliness workshop requirements – like we said, we work on a trust-by-trust basis.
WHAT WE OFFER YOU
We offer a range of shift patterns paid at a competitive hourly rate of between £12.75 - £15.90 DOE.
You will also be given the opportunity if you wish to work overtime - paid at time & a half, and work nightshifts - paid at a shift premium. You will receive 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, bonus & referral schemes, plus much more!
