Grace's Bakery is looking for a reliable, punctual and organised Night Packer to join our team in Ryde.
Grace's delivers to 60+ wholesale customers across the Isle of Wight 6 days a week (Monday to Saturday). Our packing team is essential in ensuring that their orders are all sealed and packed correctly. Pay starts at £9.75 to be reviewed after probationary period.

Shift Patterns
- 20 - 40 Hours a week
- Between 3 and 6 Days a Week
- Sundays - Fridays
- 11pm start until Finish (usually around 4/5am but can be earlier or later dependent on orders)
- Shifts range between 4.5 and 8 hours depending on the number of customer orders. i.e: busier times will mean longer shifts.
Job Responsibilities
- Packing and organising orders for over 60 wholesale customers
- Working within a small team to make sure the orders are ready for our Drivers to load their vans from 4:30am onwards.
- Sealing products to a high standard, ensuring they are presentable
- Performing quality control checks to make sure no damaged items are sent out
- Working alongside Bakers, Confectioners, Sandwich Makers and Drivers to make sure that all orders are correct and finished to a high standard
- Speed and accuracy are extremely important
- Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene when working
- Keeping the work area clean at all times
- Full Training provided

Person Specification
- Experience working with food is not essential but is an advantage
- Good understanding of English and Math is essential
- Being a reliable and punctual person is extremely important
- Experience working in packing/warehouse roles is not essential but is an advantage
- Be comfortable standing on your feet for the shift
- Be comfortable with heavy lifting and moving
- Be comfortable with unsociable hours
