In your role as a Night Front of House Porter within our Front Office family, you will be surrounded by a dynamic and passionate team working in a fast paced environment. Creativity will be a key element to your role and success, as you will be committed to providing the best product to our guests.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be present in the lobby when require in order to greet and assist guests in a polite and friendly manner in line our LQA & AA Standards
- Ensure that all ad-hoc information provided to the guest is correct and reliable
- Be familiar and up to date with hotel offers and services (special packages, restaurant services, etc)
- Maintain confidentiality of guests at all times
- Anticipate guest needs and to use available knowledge in order to exceed guest expectations
- Maintain a positive approach at all times, especially when handling any issues or guests
- Read the Handover and Shift logs at the commencement of each shift and complete entries as appropriate according to the departmental procedure.
- Provide, all standard porter services for hotel guests in line with SOPs
- Delivering guests’ requests, Delivering and storing guest luggage
- Rooming guests as per LQA & AA Standards and actively upsell hotel rooms and F&B offerings
- Keeping track of the pantry inventories and stocking up the pantries when required
- Ensuring that all rejected linen from the panties are kept in the appropriate skip
- Ensuring that the Linen Room & Luggage Room areas clean and tidy at all times
- Reporting any lost property items and follow the appropriate SOP to log and store the item
- Placing carpets in the lobby during rainy weather
